PREVAGE® Eye FAQ

What causes skin aging?

Oxidation damage from sun and the environment is believed to be the number one cause of skin aging. This damage affects the collagen and elastin resulting in the formation of lines and wrinkles, especially at the corners of eyes, and a decrease in skin firmness.

Why is the eye area more vulnerable to aging signs?

Because the skin around the eye area is very thin, it has more limited natural defenses against the outside world. It is the first place to show signs of sun and environmental damage: fine lines, crow’s feet, dark circles and puffiness.

How does Idebenone help the eye area?

PREVAGE® Eye contains I-Seryl complex and Idebenone. Idebenone helps to neutralize free radicals that can cause damage to the skin leading to premature aging of the skin. Idebenone also helps to maintain natural collagen and elastin production.

What other benefits does the formula deliver?

The I-Seryl complex addresses all the problems of the eye area. It targets lines, wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness and firmness. Together with Idebenone it helps to improve skin’s overall healthy look.

What causes dark circles and undereye bags?

In addition to collagen and elastin, micro-circulation can be affected by environmental assaults. Tiny blood vessels under the eye area can cause micro-leaks into the skin. When fluid doesn’t drain efficiently oxidation can occur, which gives skin under the eyes a puffy, darker look. The antioxidant capabilities of Idebenone along with I-Seryl Complex help to tighten and tone the appearance of skin in the eye area to minimize the look of dark circles. PREVAGE® Eye also addresses undereye puffiness.
